The game finally went live on February 26, 2009, 9:00 AM GMT +1, 12 hours late of the set launch time.[22]
The launch saw numerous setbacks. Players stumbled upon a critical bug, which reportedly gave them an advantage and resulted in the developers taking the game down for post-release bugfixing. Despite careful planning and a limited release, Aventurine were unable to handle the overwhelming amount of traffic to the online store and forums, causing those features to become extensively unavailable to customers. It was also reported by Aventurine, with some forums reporting the number of users affected in their thousands, that there have been cases where pre-orders failed without this being immediately apparent to the customer, causing that customer to have to wait for the eventual release of more copies.[24]
They will be compensating the downtime with free game time
